Take my advice: Everything's going to be all right.

Look, I know. I've read the anxiety in many e-mails; I've seen the worry in people's faces; this is a time of great financial uneasiness.

There's no doubt about it, keeping a company healthy and moving forward in today's world  is stressful, straining, and tedious. The lack of certainty over what's going to happen to you, your organization, your associates, your family, and your career creates so much worry that it's easy to fall prey to periods of despair and doubt.

But I can also tell you that everything is going to be all right.

We'll make it through, together.

kbs has helped many business owners, CEO's and managers through the rough seas of necessary "positive change". It's rarely easy, but with proper planning, dedicated to performance improvement through accountability and execution you too can land successfully on the other side with a new found ability to concentrate on the issues that will enable your organization to grow. If you partner with kbs, we will help you will find your way through.

It may take longer than you think; it may be more of an emotional roller coaster than you were hoping for; and there may be days when you think it is never going to end.

But end it does. The necessary "positive change"  will come as a result of our efforts, and you will find your organization in a much better place, as long as you "stay the course". I've seen it happen, many times.

And to get through your challenges and achieve your goals, let me elaborate a bit further on what I've learned over many years. My best tactical advice is this:

Don't Hesitate.

The sooner you start the process the sooner you will achieve your goals. You can assume that your competition is already on the move and doing everything possible to stay ahead of you! Depending on what you need to achieve, initiatives can happen quickly or they might even take years. You may in fact, achieve your goals  quickly, but  be sure to realistically frame your expectations. Remember, Good Cooking Takes Time". Be sure that you're mentally ready to do whatever it takes to achieve your goals. kbs will help you to set realistic expectations and to deliver them on time.

We'll need to work at it, steadily and consistently. And we'll need to schedule frequent status meetings, as change can be exhausting, and everyone performs better as a result of consistent communication and teamwork.

Document All Goals and Steps to Achieve Them.

Great goals need to be written down and properly scheduled.  Your organization's goals are key to it's success. For these goals to be achieved a detailed road map must be created spelling out each step that must be taken in writing. If a goal is not written down, it does not exist! Each step or deliverable MUST be assigned a realistic due date, including milestones, to ensure that all initiatives are moving steadily towards fruition. Any road blocks that develop along the way, need to removed quickly.  kbs will help expedite the process.

Allocate the Proper Resources To Achieve Your Goals.

If your associates are juggling dozens of responsibilities, and you suddenly tap them on the back and add to their workload to help achieve your new goals, you're not doing yourself or them any favors. The "spray and pray" method doesn't work. It is imperative that those associates that are asked to help achieve your organizations key goals are allocated sufficient time and resources to do so. If this is not done, all initiatives bog down and progress grinds to a halt. kbs will teach you how to avoid this common pitfall.
All that wasted effort not only does your organization no good, it does actual harm. Because you're delegating  so many tasks and responsibilities, your associates don't have the time to follow up on the right ones. And when that happens both productivity and morale drop significantly.

Slow and steady wins the race, not the flash in the pan.
