KBS Methodology

One of the most challenging issues facing executives today, is improving enterprise performance enabling organizations to move forward. This challenge exists, in most cases, due to the lack of a disciplined process being in place to select strategic priorities. After selection, the problem is worsened by a failure to allocate the appropriate resources necessary to execute those priorities.

Typically projects are initiated in many functional areas or divisions of organizations and those initiating the projects do not attempt to evaluate, in a detailed way, what the impact will be on existing workload, other projects and available resources. A case can be made that this type of approach could be compared to a hospital taking in new patients who need surgery, without any regard for the availability of doctors, operating rooms or beds. A hospital operating in this manner would certainly be considered to be in a state of CHAOS! Is CHAOS the state of PROJECTS/PRIORITIES in your organization?

Our methodology is designed to help business leaders recognize the need to change their approach to selecting and implementing priorities within their organization. KBS will help to focus on a select few top priorities that are aligned with your organization's strategic plan. We will work with you to properly allocate and organize the limited key resources available and to achieve quicker "Return on Investment" from these initiatives.

KBS employs two innovative approaches using "project management" methodology to enable leaders to achieve project alignment and to improve project performance enterprise wide. The first approach is to employ "Portfolio" project management providing an organizations leaders with a process to select and prioritize initiatives/projects that align with the corporate strategic plan. The second approach employs an "Integrated" project management process that incorporates an organizations strategic, developmental and tactical levels. This approach describes the ownership and accountability of each level ensuring that projects are completed much more quickly and benefits to the organization are realized much sooner.

Today's leaders must face the truth and realize that their organizations cannot survive with management that does not have a bias towards action. By utilizing an "integrated" project management process as an accountability system and execution model you will make things happen and achieve required results.

KBS methodology positions executives to bridge the gap between just creating strategic initiatives and actually executing them!

REMEMBER, IF YOU FAIL TO PLAN - YOU PLAN TO FAIL!
